We are Steadfast190 and we are made up of a group of people who are trying to follow Christ. We are far from perfect, but we are learning and growing as we walk with Him. The scriptures are very clear. As Christ-followers, we must love God first and we are expected to pour our lives into the lives of those in need. There is no question – we are to feed the hungry, clothe the poor, take care of widows, and treat others fairly. We must live with the love of God leading us forward, and not allow our own personal desires to get in the way. We must share the message of the gospel without shame. Our prayer is that God uses our music to inspire the Church but also to challenge the Church to begin asking themselves the difficult questions. God has challenged Steadfast190 to live lives that are a reflection of Christ and our music is just an extension of the questions we’ve asked ourselves. Isn't it time to get to know God through His word? Isn't it time we believe what he says? Isn’t it time to answer His call? Are we willing to follow Christ at all cost? Have we been complacent about those who are suffering? Isn’t it time that the Church be the Church? Isaiah 58:9-12 says that if we feed the hungry and help those in trouble we will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes. What if everyone in the church pulled together and began living out the Word. What if we answered the call of the One who gave everything for us. How many people would come to know Jesus if the Church was a rebuilder of walls and restorer of homes? So where did we get the name Steadfast190? Well, the thought of being constant and unwavering in our faith is very important. Without faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6). We are inspired by the story of Abraham. His faith was steadfast, he believed God (Romans 4:3). Abraham and Sarah had to wait many years after God promised them a son, believing God, before Isaac was born. Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90 years old when it finally happened. Their combined ages? 190 years. So, there you go. Steadfast190. |
